Biography
Elliotte Schroeder is originally from Grand Junction, CO. She began dancing at the age of 3 under the instruction of Kathryn J. Schulte, a University of Utah graduate and former Ballet West performer. Elliotte is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and contemporary styles.
Currently attending Colorado State University, Elliotte is pursuing a B.A. in Dance, a B.S. in Business Administration, and a minor in Spanish. In her time at CSU, she has performed in multiple student and faculty pieces including works by Madeline Jazz Harvey, Vincent Thomas, Grace Gallagher, Judy Bejarano, and Chung Fu Chang. She has worked as a research facilitator for Movement through Parenthood, a study analyzing dance’s effects on expectant parents’ emotional availability. In 2023, she presented her work at the National Dance Education Organization’s National Conference. Elliotte is also a Grace and Dwight Harris Scholarship and Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship recipient.
Elliotte has teaching and choreography experience in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary. She has worked at many Colorado dance studios, including Berthoud Dance Company. Her choreography has been featured in CSU Dance concerts as well. Elliotte has performed roles with Moscow Ballet, with Dance Works as Cinderella, and with IMPACT dance company in their production American Lullaby: Still Singing. Additionally, Elliotte is a facilitator for the Body Project, a group intervention for college-aged individuals to address unrealistic appearance ideals and foster healthy body image and self-esteem.
Elliotte hopes to dance professionally as well as continue teaching. She also aspires to one day own her own dance studio. She is dedicated to creating an inclusive and diverse dance environment. Elliotte would like to thank her friends, family, and professors for their immense support in her journey.
